Review of Fattoria

Spectacular dinner. Lobster ravioli was one of the best dishes we have enjoyed in the last several years of dining in NYC and Europe. The Fattoria salad and Vegan risotto was also excellent. Service was flawless.

Our experience was horrible, they canceled our reservation by email on our way to the resort. The next day they called to make sure we knew that THEY canceled our reservation, this was a few hours before check-in. When i asked the agent said, "unforeseen circumstances". We booked at least a month beforehand, prepaid and received several messages from them "welcoming us". Worst experience ever. be careful.

Review of Stoke & Rye

Hubby and I had dinner here one night during our annual ski trip in early March at Beaver Creek.

The restaurant is very spacious and bright with high ceiling. Inviting, calm with relaxing vibe. Comfortable seatings and the expansive floor to ceiling windows on one side of the restaurant offers a great mountain view as well. Our server was friendly, but service was lacking. We had to ask for water refill 3 times during our meal. This was not just our table, we saw a table with family of 4, the mother bought up their water glasses to the bar and asked for water.

For starter, we enjoyed the Colorado Fondue. On main course we opted for the 52oz Tomahawk Steak and a side of Broccolini but the steak didn’t meet our expectation. It tasted alright and was over cooked the way we asked for. Although our server offered to redo another one but we declined. They com us on desserts to make it up to us which we appreciated.

Overall 3 stars with subpar service and food experience.

I ate here two times. The first dinner was pasta with a white cream sauce and chicken. The second meal was a beef short rib. Both dinners were excellent. They served me more food than I could eat. Not an easy thing to do. Met the owner, Jim, very nice fellow who is clearly paying attention to his business. Overall a very good experience and I’d highly recommend it.

our entire stay has been tainted by the belligerent apres ski scene. We traveled with our children expecting a family vacation. Our room is directly next to the outside bar which has club music playing 24/7. Every time we complained the management claimed our view could not be beat. The view is pretty but we could never relax because of the noise. The walls quite literally thud due to the volume. The DJ in particular was exceedingly loud and played lyrics like let’s get f naked. So inappropriate. The ritz clearly cares more about the insta opportunity for drunk 20 somethings more than the experience of paying guests.

Review of Buffalos

As other reviewers have noted, something is amiss at this Ritz. While the service was excellent, the menu was uninspiring and the food mediocre. Hamburg was overdone, schnitzel was over breaded curiously with a bone, trout was not the usual butterfly. At these prices, can’t the Ritz do better?

I enjoyed a quick lunch of pizza at Pazzo's Pizzeria after dropping off the family for a day of skiing at Beaver Creek. The staff was very friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my pizza -- tasty toppings and cheese, with a a well-balanced sauce and flavorful crust. Definitely recommend if you are in the Avon area and have a hankering for pizza. Enjoy!

Review of Mein Haus

Best kept secret in Avon / Vail. Clean, convenient location, AMAZING BREAKFAST, and friendly hosts! Whether skiing Vail or Beaver Creek, they fill you up with homemade breakfast for energy to go all day. Just a short walk to Beaver Gondola or the free Vail bus. The hot tub was nice. I hesitated to leave this good review because I don't want them to be full the next time I go, lol.

Review of Ticino

Not good - avoid. I was surprised! The reviews look decent and I thought it would be a good meal, but it was horrible. I ate beef that was mediocre with no taste. I had a spinach salad that had more dressing on it. It was like a soup. It was disgusting. I would not eat here again. I would not recommend this place.

Not the worst place in the world to stay, rooms are pretty nice, but the service is absolutely horrendous. The front desk lacks any hospitality experience and are out right rude. Unless you’re a Marriot gold/ platinum member don’t bother coming in before 4, they will make you wait until the clock strikes 4 to hand you the keys. Even if the room is available you will be made to wait while other “members” get their keys. I just wish they were upfront about their checkin policy, instead made us wait in the lobby for three hours.

Review of Christie Lodge

The resort itself is older and a bit quirky. Beautiful skylights over the center / lounge area of the building, with glass stair railings throughout. And, there are lots of stairs in the building. The location with regards to our ability to walk to coffee, restaurants and the river is amazing! There's also a town bus that stops right out front to take us to skiing. It was also only 8 minutes to drive the skiers in my family to a skier drop off point.

As far as the 1 bedroom goes, my 2 sons slept on the Murphy bed in the living room. We find Murphy beds far more comfortable than sofa beds. The kitchenette was a little disappointing simply because there isn't an oven or a convection oven feature on the microwave. There's no washer/dryer in the room. They have a coin operated laundry on the main floor. Overall though the space worked for the 4 of us.

We would stay here again.

Dined here last night because of good reviews. Nice interior in an inconspicuous location across from gas station. Greeted nicely by hostess. Seating comfortably and well spaced. Our server, Karen, was super friendly and knowledgeable.
Onion soup very good. Papardelle bolognese recommended by others on website was really good. My wife had trout which was excellent, and she knows her fish.
Overall, a really good restaurant in Avon that I highly recommend. We are ex New Yorkers and live in New Haven and know good food .
Kudos Northside Kitchen!

Review of Christie Lodge

Friendly, helpful staff, great location, well maintained, have been staying @ Christie Lodge every spring for last seven years. Shuttle bus stops at the front entrance, so you don't always need a car. Planning to come back next spring.

Review of Starbucks

Sometimes the staff members are helpful and kind, sometimes they don’t seem to want to make drinks the way they are ordered. Case in point, I politely pointed out that I’d received a drink made as a latte although I’d ordered a cappuccino. The barista did agree to remake it, however when I again politely said “that’s plenty of milk” as she was pouring, she stopped looked at me then proceeded to put more milk in the cup filling it to the top (like a latte). Maybe just an off day for her, but given the expense, isn’t it meant to be prepared to order?

Highly disappointing -- in both the food (which got me violently ill) and lack of communication from Benderz. The restaurant was called multiple times to alert of the issue. Each time a return phone call was promised and never received. Until this experience, I've never called the Health Department or felt compelled to write a negative online review. The owners should better train their staff in these situations. They failed miserably in both service and food. Skip and spend your money elsewhere.

Why can’t we get pizza like this at home. We bought the pepperoni and the meat lovers pizzas. Both were excellent. We bought 3 large pizzas to feed our group of 8 people. Had a whole pizza left over but we’ll eat that tomorrow so no problem. We called in our order and the gentleman on the phone said 30 minutes but it was ready sooner. If you’re looking for good pizza, this is the place.

Review of Christie Lodge

This place may not look like a gem but it is. Once you get over the Escher style architecture, you see how clean it is, how responsive they are to requests and how convenient it is to everything. We loved the outdoor pool, the four hot tubs, Jenga, and corn hole with our 3 yo. We requested a room in a quiet area a month prior and they delivered. The people in the ski shop are very helpful. You catch the ski shuttle to BC right outside the door! We had 5 adults and a 3 yo and an infant in the 3 bedroom. Weird architecture again but it worked and we had plenty of comfortable space outside our room to socialize. Close to food, and Kroger’s City Market.

Wait was a bit long when they had available tables, but the food and service made up for it. Split a Wagyu hamburger and the half was perfectly adequate for a lunch size portion along with excellent fries. We did order it with cheese and it came without, but no complaints. The reuben looked divine, along with the Turkey BLT. Both diners were please with those options.

Review of Venture Sports

Fast and excellent service! Marty was excellent help when I called and asked questions about the online ordering. You get up to 20% off when you order online. Zach was excellent at helping get the skis we needed for our stay. In the past, other stores, we have had to try on different boots for size, comfort, etc. With Zach, it was a perfect fit the first time! Cooper is very friendly and efficient at his job too! It was a wonderful experience all the way around. We stopped at the store in Avon, on our way to Beavercreek Resort. At some of the condos, they'll bring your skis and boots to you. We stayed at the McCoy Peak Lodge, and they deliver there.

Beaver Creek was amazing skiing and the location of the Ascent, with their free shuttle, made the condo perfect. Everything was clean and check-in was quick and seamless. East West also did a very good job of sending information before our arrival so we could get groceries and ski rentals set up. Was a great trip.
