Review of Hungry Pot

Close, but not quite right. The recent newcomer to Westport is a good attempt at bringing authentic Korean BBQ to the suburbs. The all-you-can-eat format is reasonably priced for families, and the menu App works well and quickly. The choice of meats, chicken, fish, seafood and vegetables for the BBQ is ample. The staff is extremely nice and attentive, helping throughout the meal. There is an excellent selection of beverages. The one area where they could improve is the selection of salads/condiments - there are few of these at the self serve bar, which is noticeably different from other Korean BBQ restaurants that I have tried. Some pickled cucumber, pickled radish, spinach and a few other condiments would be a welcome addition. Overall, a very good BBQ at a reasonable price in a clean, friendly environment.

This joint is sensational. A total throwback to a bygone era of great food and drink at amazingly sane prices. The place is cozy, convenient and feels like a local gathering spot. Love the ambiance, and the community table. Staff is amazing.

We walked down for breakfast and coffee. The food came out fast and we all loved our meals. We’ve always loved this location for breakfast, but with Romanacci’s menu, we will certainly be coming back for dinner!

I stopped in today for breakfast and coffee - great experience. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on a gluten-free roll, and a large iced coffee. The breakfast sandwich was fantastic and one one of the best gluten-free rolls I've had. The coffee was excellent. They have a new communal table which was inviting so we sat down - atmosphere is inviting and enjoyable. Thanks OMG team - we will be back!

Review of La plage

I purchase a gift card for a friend and when they went to use La Plage could not find it so they had to pay. I’m completely astonished, how is that even possible, they are completely disorganized and service is terrible. I hadn’t even got a refund. I eat out a lot and this is the worse experience I’ve had.

A very popular cafe/nursery/shop. Featuring upscale decor, toiletries, and the very finest grown indoor and outdoor plants from orchids to ferns. The cafe was extremely busy and reservations are suggested. Be aware the prices are extremely expensive both for nursery and shop as well as food at cafe. An average lunch will cost around $35 or more. The least expensive plant is about $20. This is a place for the affluent and wealthy of Westport.

Review of bartaco

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! I went with a friend from the Middle East, along with one from Brazil both have traveled extensively back home, and as a CT resident from the area who's visited every restaurant ever, I have never been so insistent on leaving a review!! I go there at least once a month. We all collectively agreed it was the best food we'd ever eaten. That's a statement considering the palet diversity in our little group.

Review of The Cottage

It just doesn’t get better than The Cottage in Westport. Brian Lewis has been a nationally renowned star chef for many years and he wears the accolades with humility. We have followed him through his culinary journeys from the Bedford Post Inn, the Elm, and now The Cottage and OKO. I always look into the kitchen when I go to a restaurant. Even when they are in the weeds (like on The Bear), a good kitchen will be working together to put a great meal on your plate. I mentioned to Chef Lewis the other night that the culture he creates shows on the faces of all the staff in his restaurants - and winds up the star of the table for his lucky customers. Everybody is smiling and helpful - even in the midst of the madding crowds. Kudos to the bartender for the best Old Fashioned. As for the food - the deviled farm egg is one of my favs, along with spaghetti alla chitarra, and the marinated & grilled lamb saddle. And the desserts…everything…but give the Other Sundae a try! Always the best ingredients on the table from local purveyors in this comfortable setting serving up complex dishes. OK, it doesn’t get better than The Cottage in Westport, unless you are at OKO (also in Westport) or The Cottage in Greenwich.

On the nights, I don't feel like cooking, it has always been a struggle to find reasonably priced, freshly cooked meals to take home in Westport. Now I have this establishment on my regular rotation. Their menu really has something for everyone and covers breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We are so fortunate to have Romanacci at Old Mill Grocery and Deli. We have been long time patrons of their location on Railroad Place and this new location offers the same quality of food and hospitality right in our Compo Beach neighborhood.

Review of The Granola Bar

A bit pricey but the food is very good. We had the peach and ricotta toast which is not "french" toast so not too sweet. Also the brunch burger was very good. The Turkish coffee was excellent. Service was average. I would return once my credit card recovers...

The experienced owners of the well loved Romanaccis have nailed this one! The pizzas are fantastic. I also had the seared tuna with broccoli rabe which couldn’t have been fresher. They offer some Italian gourmet items like fresh parm, pastas and sauces to go. Well priced, GREAT neighborhood vibe. A def great addition to Westport’s Compo Beach neighborhood!

Went to the beach with my furry friend and saw familiar Romanacci sign. I love their location at the Westport train station. Wanted to grab coffee to go, but stayed for breakfast and it was delicious. The place is dog friendly and they even have complimentary dog treats:) It’s a deli format place and you can buy some Italian grocery stuff as well. Definitely, recommend to check out if you are in the area.
