Really a place near Trang to visit. Furtheremore it is free (no charge). The forest is huge and some passages are made at the top of the trees.
A true little gem. A beautiful canopy walk through the tree tops as well as a swamp forest trail offer a nice insight into Southern Thailands nature. Small shop offers drinks. Entrance for free.
Open 7 days a week, 8am- 4.30pm this place is a little known gem. It was so easy to get to on a public bus (we used the one heading to Satun and it cost 25 Baht each, we caught it at the bus stop directly outside the sports stadium) or you can get any minibus heading to Yan Ta... More
We went to visit The Botanical Gardens on a Saturday, and were greeted by approx 8 school children at the entrance of the gardens, they all in song greeted us together in English welcoming us to the gardens and to enjoy it. I thoroughly enjoyed it, the trees, bushes, ferns and plants are all so beautiful and huge. We did... More
Short drive from the town (should be very cheap in tuk-tuk/motorbike taxi), free entrance. Enjoyable canopy walk and swampy-board-walk. We have spied snakes, those huge squirrel things, lizards, etc. Lovely bird song in the early morning. There's a small cafe in the car park serving drinks & snacks. We rarely spot other people, except at the entrance & in the... More
It was a thrill to be walking on top the ever diminishing forest in this country. When we were on top, we felt like birds! There was no admission fee to tour this large place. Great exercise while enjoying the true natural classroom in the forest!
No flying squirrels but the canopy walk is fun. Quite deserted some of the areas seem a bit unkept but the main canopy walk is very pretty with a good dose of scare factor. Lots of MOZZIES so beware. Bats on the swamp walk were cute.
Apart from a few hundred school kids (who thought we were hilarious) who were on their way out, we had the whole place to ourselves. It could be that it´s out of season, but the place seems a bit run down, as you can see from my pictures. A small section of the path is newly built, and they are... More
Trangs Botanical Gardens still are a hidden treasure due to their location off the common tourist track. It easy to get their by organized trip from Trang town center though. In the gardens, the most exotic nature awaits you. Everything is very well developed, without harming the nature but making it easy and safe to walk through the swamps. Both... More
