My friends visited it and recommended and it turned out a great fun-day out, yes, even solo. : )
Be prepared to spend the whole day if you like to try out every available show-n-info sections. There is parking facility which is reasonably set. Public transportation is also available. More detail is noted in blog below.

This museum should be a must for anyone with at least a passing interest in new technology and science. From a live performance by Honda's famous ASIMO robot, to hands on displays demonstrating the concepts behind quantum mechanics, robotic surgery and the International Space State, Miraikan cements itself as possibly the best place in the world to get acquainted with...
