The area around Shinjuku station West exit (close to the Haneda airport bus stop) has a concentration of second hand camera shops beside the enormous new equipment seller Yodobashi. Look for "Lemon" among these. Japanese photographers seem to buy and change items so fast that it is possible to see very nearly new equipment in these shops at very good... More

Keep your eyes peeled, you can find camera stores all over the place. You can get new items as well as used items. There's food and other electronics available. Just doesn't feel as if you're in the heart of the corporate district

This area of Shinjuku is a feast for the senses as it is noisy, chaotic, colorful, and smells a little sulphur on the hot and humid day we were there. Young men hold signs and hawk deals loudly at passers-by. Every electronic gadget you'd need (cameras, cell phones, etc.) for taking pictures can be found in Camera Town.

Amazing selections, bi lingual service and good prices. A great Tokyo/Shinjuku experience.

Not quite as big as Akihabara but still plenty of well stocked shops selling cameras, phones, video games...everything electronic. Prices are the same as Akihabara so if your short on time you could avoid the cross town trip and just pick up a bargain here.

Although it's surprisingly cheaper to buy cameras and their accessories overseas, this place has a staggering variety to choose from. Nearby you can also shop for other electronics.

The small buildings behind the big Yodobashi or Big Camera buildings are house to many 2nd hand camera shops. We have found a couple selling old cameras - and most products are in very good conditions. Perfect location for enthusiasts' treasure hunt...

If you can't get it here it probably doesn't exist. Yodobashi Camera ヨドバシ カメラhas been here forever and sells every camera and accessory from the cheapest up to professional gear. The other camera shops like Doi Camera and Sakura are great, too. Yodobashi has several shops and a range of photo service and sells, electronics, watches, and computer equipment, etc. The... More

Very good selection of eletronic and camera shops. Prices are decent with some good offers avaliable. Service in the area is great. Yodobashi camera offers a 3 or 4 story building only containing everything your photophilia might demand.
