Knowledgeable personnel, generous 'portions' and good insight into the valley and farm left a favourable impression.
Wines (Chenin Blanc in particular) were appealing.

This is our third visit here and we like it as much as the first time in 2014. This year we met Jan - who owns the place! Great conversation about Africa and the future! We toured the grounds and so enjoyed the wine tasting. The heavy red is super! We had lunch at the Tasty Lemon - a new and very nice restaurant!!!!!
Get out in the country and enjoy this winery!

We stopped here quickly for a wine tasting. Beautiful farm setting with various activity areas and child friendly.

We attended an Albert Frost show at the Sir Robert Stanford Amphiteatre. The setting is lovely and I would like to congratulate the owners for their initiative. The stage is a miniature version of the Kirstenbosch summer concert stage and guests are seated on hay bales. Boerewors rolls, pizza, curry etc. is availble from the farm kitchen. The estate wine, craft beer, wine and soft drinks are also for sale.

Albert Frost gave a stellar performance. He is a world class performer and he took us on a journey for the one and a half hours he spent on stage. The music was complemented by perfect lighting. A truly exceptional artist.

The evening could have been magical if it was not for two factors. The opening act was a local artist who was given the sunset timeslot. Instead of taking the opportunity to shine his vocals were pitchy, he was unprofessional and unfortunately also lacked stage personality. I blame the organisers for this poor choice.

The second factor which prevented this evening from being just perfect was the fact that some of the concert attendees had absolutely no regard for the rest of us and allowed their kids to run back and forth on the ‘dance floor’ which was erected in front of the stage. This was acceptable for the first three hours but once Albert Frost took to the stage I found it to be disrespectful and incredibly distracting. The kids were allowed to run around with solar lanterns right in front of the artist. Albert Frost is a true professional and carried on regardless.

I would recommend this experience to my friends.

Tickets at R80.00 per person and you're expected to sit on terrible benches in the blistering sun, absolutely no shade offered whatsoever and very limited food options AND the blond and wit beers runs out by 13:30??....
With so many markets and family days in the area, one would expect this farm to have its ducks in a row.
Certainly not impressed!

We have been to the tasting room today at 16H30. The sign outside stated that the operating hours are from 08H30-17H00 every day. When we arrived there the winery were empty no one to help us. We walked around to find someone. Three young ladies arrived so so unfriendly and not at all interested to help us. Told us to have a look in the website if we want to order and then proceed on leaving. This was only at 16H30. VERY DISSAPOINTING AND VERY VERY BAD WAY OF DOING BUSI NESS AND TO PROMOTE YOUR BUSINESS.

Absolutely lovely winery. We sampled five wines two whites, one rose, and two reds. All had lovely floral hints with loads of flavor. Catherine helped us through our entire experience and was beyond brilliant. She was very attentive and explained all the wines perfectly. Would definitely recommend and return!

We went there at the end of a day when we visited quite a few of the wineries in the area. This is certainly a bit different. The views are great, the tasting room ok, the wines not great- at least not compared to others, some of which were amazing, in particular as they were only fairly new.

We visited this small winery as part of a small tour group. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The lunch was really excellent as was the service. The wine was ok even to my untrained palate. But who cares. Life is about having fun and this was an enjoyable afternoon. I prefer fun to a wasted afternoon with excellent wine surrounded by pretentious connoisseurs. I would go back again

On this trip we planned this excursion. Nice for us, Stef had us tasting and rating wines. In addition, the two of us were treated to a terrific champagne rating contest. It was such fun and Stef was so interesting and informative. The vineyards are beautiful and we walked around and enjoyed the property. We had made reservations at The Royal Oke Restaurant for lunch. This is definitely one of the nicest vineyards. (The tastings are free.)
