A large Dzong with monasteries and administrative buildings, but looks old with inadequate maintenance. Not as impressive as Punakha and Trongsa Dzongs.

This is very big Dzong and takes 3-4 hours to see completely. It is on river bank and nicely built. Kept very clean and One can get idea how Bhutan was administered in old days. This is the biggest Dzong in Bhutan.Location is scenic.

This was our first visit to a dzhong, and it as the most beautiful one that we saw. Gorgeous setting, wonderful architecture and so much to see. Highly recommended! Photographers, make sure you have a wide angle lens.
