We enjoyed the hike. It took us about 4 hours. Some portions of the hike I thought were a bit scary as there were steep drop offs and narrow passageways next to the drop offs. Some portions may be a bit challenging physically for some, although we've met some people running through the trail. Beautiful scenery.

Without knowing how long it would take or how difficult it would be, we chose to hike the Primitive Trail. The views were absolutely incredible, and my personal favorite arch was the Partition Arch. We were all fine until the last mile when the trail seemed it would never end. If you are not an experienced hiker I would recommend... More

Lots of arches along this hike. We were here with two smaller children (age 6 & 8) and we walked down to pine tree arch then took the trail to landscape arch. The trail to landscape arch was very long and somewhat strenuous (hilly).

We started the entire Devils Garden Loop before dawn and saw all of the sites along the way. The trail is relatively easy except for a few slickrock spots along the way that require some minor bouldering skills and a little confidence. We saw very few people along the way except at the arches themselves. It took us about three... More

No doubt about it: the scenery on the hikes that lead from this trailhead are world-class. However, hikers need to be warned about the crowds that often (usually?) clog these trails. We visited in March, and the weather was perfect (cold early, then warming nicely, plenty of sun). Because dogs aren't allowed on park trails, my wife and I took... More

I arrived at 7 am and had the trailhead all to myself. After a wonderful trip along red sand, fins, and into canyons in the morning sun, I took a few photos of the very climb-able Double O Arch, then went back to the fantastic trailhead. When I returned, I counted forty cars there and now look forward to reading... More

I recently did the Devils Garden trail to Double O arch in February with plenty of snow & ice on the trail. It really is the best trail in Arches National Park. There's climbing (easy) involved, walking across big fins with drop offs, and shimmying across icy ledges! Because I did the hike in February it did require some microspikes... More

I walked part of Devils Garden to see Pine Tree Arch and Landscape Arch. The trail winds through tall and narrow rock passages. This part of the trail is quite easy with no major climbs. Keep in mind that in early Jan, it is very cold and the wind chill drops the temps well bellow frizzing. Nevertheless it is highly... More

I like the Devils Garden Trail. I can’t imagine hiking it under the hot sun during summer but the day in April when I hiked the trail the temperature was a pleasant 73 degrees. The trail has spectacular rock formations, not just arches. It does become a challenge near the Landscape Arch when the trail climbs a steep rock formation.... More

We hiked the entire Devil's Garden trail and all the offshoots to the arches with the exception of dark angel. It was a great way to get up close to many arches in a relatively short period of time without huge crowds. The trail is sandy in some spots, which was kind of annoying, and there was a bit of...
