I enjoy looking at this mountain. You can see it perfectly in the valley campgrounds and Visitors Center but the trail leads you up to get up close and personal. A morning or late afternoon time is best especially during warm days. May brings out some great wild flower along the trail. There is a little loop at the end... More

It didn;t really get away from it all- with views of the parking lot below for most of the trail. It was alot of uphill but not that great of views.

Its hot here most of the time, great walk and views at the end, best not in full heat , a fair climb but perfect for early evening. We walked in from Springdale lodge past the visitor centre

Basically you hike to the top of a bluff and back down again, so the first half of the hike is a bit strenuous, but not overly so. The views throughout the whole hike are superb, and "ending spot" at the top has a breathtaking view. Well worth the few hours!

Pretty moderate trail. A couple switchbacks ..not too bad. We hiked up this trail in the afternoon...I would highly recommend this hike in the afternoon and maybe even to watch the sunset...It was absolutely beautiful at the top!

The trail was challenging, but not difficult. The views were spectacular. We went in the afternoon, so most of the trail was in full sun, with some shade on the last portion of the trail just before you reach the mesa.

There were lizards galore, and a nice variety of flora along the easy to moderate trail. There really wasn't much of a view from the top, but the trip is very scenic

This trail was beautiful and it was a moderate workout just like it was posted to be. It was enough to work up a sweat but it wasn't too strenous. This is the perfect hike if you don't want something too hard or something too easy. Highly recommended.

This is a nice hike, but it takes a while to get away from the views of parking lots, campsites and employee housing.

Well worth doing this trail as it starts from the visitor centre, and therefore parking is easy. It is a bit of a climb, but views at the end are stunning, and when we went, for most of the way we were on our own.
