Fascinating geological formations. As a scuba diver, I love the ocean and coral and I found these formations a fascinating part of geological and oceanic history. There were some rude, pushy tourists here and it was crowded even though I got there earlier in the day; wish I had been there much earlier before the tour buses got started, though... More

Many people have said that the park is over-crowded. That's true. Do not visit during typhoon season as there are rogue waves. However, if you're not there to take the photo of the famous Queen's rock, then you can skip that and walk all the way in for a nice relaxing stroll along the rocky beach where the tourists usually... It was over-run with loud noisy tour groups jostling and shoving their way around. On top of that, the park wardens were equipped with ear-piercing whistles to control the crowd, adding to the noise. OK if it was a night market, not so OK for a geological park jaunt hoping for some quiet contemplation of nature. Stone formations are pretty,... More

I first visited Yeh Liu Geo Park when I was about 4 or 5 years old; the Queen's Head rock was there, and was then a national rather than international curiosity. All children visiting Yeh Liu must have a picture of themselves squinting into the sun with the Queen's Head and a few tourists next to them. Like all memories,... More

Must say the seaside region/park was well maintained and clean. But the natural sand and geo-formed structures are somewhat "eroded" through the paths of time and by the forces of nature (wind, rain, sun). The brochures and pamphlets by the local tourist authorities are outdated and not informative enough.

Worth a trip there. Geographical formations (rocks, potholes and other natural sculptures formed by erosion) are quite fascinating. The view of the sea is picturesque. Due to the incline of slopes and slippery grounds, this place might not be convenient for the elderly.

To get to the Yehliu Geopark, (7: 30am-5pm) we booked a return bus ticket at the Taipei Bus West station A( bus 1815). This station is located beside the Taiwan main station for trains and MRT. The bus leaves every 20 minutes and travel time is over an hour. Going to Yehliu by bus will give you a chance to... More

Wanted to go for a long time since a colleague mentioned this place two years ago. Finally, could see the Queen's head before the neck became too thin and break. Lots of beautiful rocks to see. Very impressive. like the Tofu rocks. My daughter says Yeliu was more beautiful than the view of Ching Jing in Tai Chung which I... More

This is one of our trip's highlights where we spent a couple of hrs there. We couldnt believe our eyes when we saw all those rock formation. Imagine, being able to walk among the rocks and touching them. It depends on individual on what to visualize when looking at the rocks, but singular to clusters of mushrooms seems to dominate...
