Shoal bay is nice casual beach- blue waters and lots of great little shacks to eat- very reasonably prices and great drinks
Fine white sand and friendly people make Shoal Bay a must see when on the island. Grab a beach chair and umbrella from Ray Deman (Ray The Man) for $10 and have some $$ left over for a t-shirt and a few beers at Uncle Ernie's (Heinekens for $2.50). The water is great for snorkeling and you'll likely see skates,... More
Gorgeous beach. My jaw dropped the second I walked onto the sand and looked out at the ocean. This was probably the nicest beach I've ever been to. The sand was white and beautiful, the water was perfect. Also, it was not crowded at all for being a #1 tourist attraction.
Staying in St Maartin/Phillipsburg, my spouse and I decided to explore Anguilla and St Barths. I have to say, Anguilla safer and more beautiful than St. Maarten/St. Martin - Take the ferry over from Marigot and when you go through customs, grab a taxi for 60 US dollars and he/she will bring you to Shoal Beach. There you will be... More
We took a ferry ride from Saint Maarteen to spend the day in Anguilla. This beach is one of the most beautiful beaches I have been to. The water is clear enough too see the fish swim without snorkeling gear. We rented a car for 50 usd for the day and drove around the island and landed here. The island... More
This bay truly does earn it's place on the travel channel's most beautiful beaches in the world (can't remember what year). The white powdery sand, the mild warm surf, the crystal clear aquamarine water teaming with sealife (for snorkeling), and if that isn't enough - the only footprints in the sand are your own. It is truly a nirvana for... More
I've been to many beaches around the world and this one is the most beautiful I've seen. It has the most perfect white sand and clear blue waters. I traveled here solo in August of 2013 (female, mid-30s). I took the ferry from St. Martin and then a taxi to East Shoal Bay. I rented beach chairs, towel, and an... More
We stayed in Saint Maarten but took a ferry ride to Anguilla for the day, which was one of the highlights of our vacation. When we landed in Anguilla, there are plenty of taxis to take you around. We met a very nice taxi driver and I am sorry I cannot recall his name but basically he drove us around... More
Stayed in St Maarten but went to Shoal bay for the day! Rented a car and took ferry over from St Maarten. Beautiful white sugar sands and clear calm waters. A must see! No wonder they say this is top 10 beach in world!
Great place to spend the day while in Anguilla. We walked the entire shoreline and collected the most beautiful red coral. On the walk back we stopped for a massage by the shore. One of the most amazing massages I have encountered! There are towels and chairs for rent and quaint little spots to have a drink or light lunch.... More
