Unfortunately, I do have to give a very poor review. I usually only review successful travel items, but this is not good business. We reserved several spaces for a trail ride in October. The reservation was paid for by credit card . The agreement clearly states a 24 hour cancellation applies or the cost is not refunded. Our group found... More

Can anyone please tell me if we will be actually riding on the beach in the beginning of July... We are taking my daughter for her sweet sixteen with a few friends and the ONLY shore excursion she wants to do is horseback riding on the beach...

We booked a one hour trail ride. The horses were very well fed and good natured. The guide was very informative and pointed out the various fauna along the way. We went on a section of beach- you are allowed to ride on the beach except in summer. It was very enjoyable and would do it again when we next... More

The horses are well cared for and the management takes great care to match the horse to the rider. If one weighs too much he or she will not be allowed to ride. The ride my wife and I took was nice, the scenery was beautiful and the staff was very nice.

We booked (online) Spicelands Stables more-expensive "private" ride for this past Monday so we could trot/canter in addition to just walking, and go on a 90-mins vs 60-mins ride. The good news: It's easy to get to Spicelands stable from King's Wharf. Catch a number 8 bus (as an earlier poster recommended) and ask the driver to let you out... More

Beautiful, well mannered horses made this ride a pleasure. The cost may seem a bit high until you learn that all hay, feed, and wood shavings (bedding) has to be shipped from the US. The route ranged from nice to riding on the street (not nice) to riding near (not on) the beach (magnificent). The views near the beach were... More

The beach ride itself was wonderful, and the horses are clean and well cared for. The ride is long and justifies the price per person. The scenery is beautiful. Horses often have a mind of their own, and it can be hard to control a 1,200 lb. animal if they want to eat or slow down. The guide put some... More

We booked this for a cruise that stopped in Bermuda. I booked everything online in advance which was very easy. We took a taxi from the cruise dock which took about half an hour. My sister and I have both been riding our whole lives so we booked a private ride which was very nice! Horses were well cared for,... More

My family and several friends took a cruise to Bermuda this past April 2012. I booked a trail ride with Spicelands Riding Centre prior to the cruise. It was easy to book online through their website. We took the ferry from Kings Wharf to Hamilton and then the bus to Warwick and found it very easy to find. The bus... More

We planned everything online. Got there (this was our second time) and we asked for gentle horses. (We got TJ and Gypsy - they were sweet.) Ours last time were good, but we're very inexperienced, so we wanted to be sure that it was a safe and serene ride and it was. Johnny Fine was our guide. He was wonderful.... More
