Very interesting, and a wonderful setting in the Kura Hulanda "quarter". Especially interesting to see so much information about and artifacts from the African cultures from which the slaves came.

The museum is tucked away in a complex worth finding in Otrobanda Willemstad. First find the ferry stop, then look for Gouverneur de Rouville restaurant in brick-red paint---the museum complex is directly behind it with its walkway exiting across from the back side of the restaurant. It gives you a good overview of the history, slavery en culture during the time. Nice restaurant and guide. A must see Museum.

This museum impressively exhibits the Slave Trade in its totality, from slave capture in Africa through the relocation and in this current time.

The artifacts and history are powerful. A unique museum experience that I highly recommend! I almost didn't go in because of the $10 cost, but it was worth every penny.

This museum offers interesting background on the slave trade before it came to the shores of the US. Some of the artifacts really bring home what the men, women & children experienced. Our guide could be difficult to understand due to her accent, but she was more than willing to go into detail.

Have lunch at one of the cafes in Kura Hulanda and then wander through this amazing museum that tells a history of the slave trade on Curacao. My teenage daughters and I really enjoyed this beautiful place.

that slavery is not that far removed from us, was horrific and this is a very good place to have done it.

Gives you a little more history of the island and there is a cafe restaurant where you can enjoy a good meal "sur la place"
