The beach is long and beautiful but filled with many hawkers and annoyances. However, there is a little spice/souvenir shopping market there and you can find some good things.

I have to agree with most other travelers who visited this beach, that it is truly worth its fame as one of the best in the Caribbean. We were driving around the island and stopped for a swim on the south end. The water was crystal clear, the sand soft and white and the water refreshingly cool. We were approached by a beach seller, our first after over two weeks in Grenada. The beach is stunningly beautiful.

Grand Anse is gorgeous with gentle, inviting waters. But good luck being able to take a nap or read more than a couple of pages of your beach book.
