If yoü like History visit Sam Sharp Squrare,it is right in the middle of Montego Bay,there are few statues from slaves that did alot for the freedom of slavery in Jamaica,and weil you are there you have a chance to discover,the town.lots of shopping and markplaces.

We found it ok for shopping but as in many places in Jamaica, you are a bit overcome by the local's efforts to make a sale...we did use a guided tour so our leader took care of where to go etc.

Self guided walking trip from the hip-strip to Sam Sharpe Square. It's only about 20 minutes from the hip-strip and made for a nice way to take in the local scenery. Jamaica Customised Vacation and Tours took us to sams sharpe square, Patrick was very great explaining the history of the square, got some gifts in the little store in the squarre. Great place but needs a little upgrading and work to make more picture worthy, sorrounding not too clean.

Too many people kept trying to show you things. My husband and I were the only tourists in sight. One many pointed out a church to us and then told us we owed him 70 dollars for the tour. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

There are a lot of homos there and they're really annoying there are also a lot of mad people (hobos) there the people there really harass you black birds will poop on you its overcrowded and the odour is unbearable and the place is just disgusting. So just try to avoid that place.
