Spent a couple hours on Harbour street and at the craft market. There are more locals at the market, then there are on the hip-strip. It made for a enjoyable walk through the market, very clean and organized. You will be asked to come into each little store, but it is not as high pressure as the hip-strip. Would recommend... More

One of the things you have to resign yourself to when visiting Jamaica (as well as many third world countries) is that "higglers", who are people who will dog your footsteps relentlessly to get you to buy some trinket from them, are a natural and time-honored part of the landscape.
