Tongue of the ocean -- fantastic!!! Great live corals, abundant sea life. Gorgeous colors. Very accessible.

The best diving sites. The reef comes right up to the beaches. You don't need to be scuba certified to enjoy the sealife. All you need is a pair of googles.

Not as much marine life as I had hoped to see. Many lion fish though. Unfortunately the coral reef was not very impressive. I noticed the dive masters touch many things underwater, including catching dangerous fish with bare hands. I believe this is aiding in the destruction of the reef. Also there is no where on the island to rent... More

Rich marine life, a variety of depths for differing underwater experiences. This is easy access to Nathans and the boat shows up with Divemaster, Jesse in front of your room. There are also wreck dives available. For snorkeling there are free kayaks for use to paddle out to the reef.

The reef here is the 3rd biggest in the world, with a 6000 foot vertical drop. This makes for a wide range of dive sites and many large marine animals like the friendly reef sharks who basically leave you alone, and the barracuda who grin evilly but also leave you alone.

The relative isolation keeps this reef in decent shape, much better than average for the Caribbbean.

Lots of variety, including swim throughs and caverns. Because of limited use, this area is still in pristine condition.

We loved the experience of diving and snorkeling along the barrier reef from Small Hope Bay Lodge. The coral gardens were incomparably lovely. Can't wait to go back and learn more.

We haven't been diving in the ocean much, where we dive we are in freshwater lakes so this was a great intorudction to ocean diving for us. There are plenty of fish and nice corals, and the dive guides are great at pointing out tiny sea life. My husband is learning how to take pictures under water too and they... More
