This is a must see. If there is an event there it is even better. We always stop here when we are passing through. You can walk through the old casino and visit the ballroom. There are paintings on the wall from the 20's. There is an old menu to view. The bar is usually open and they are very... More

Visited the cultural center on the eve of January 19, 2013. A cultural folkloric show had been arranged for the 65 of us from the HAL ship Zaandam taking an city excursion. Vendors were out selling their wares, only had a limited amount of time to shop. The show that we saw was simply wonderful. I encourage anyone that has... More

Ensenada tacos are great and this building is a reminder of the good old days when prohibition drove many south of the border. If you time it right, get there when the cruise ship guests arrive and join in for a beer and Margarita. (The Margarita claims to have been invented there after Rita Hayworth formerly known as Maragarita ..........)

Beautiful, historic site. Wide and multidimensional and practical spaces with original art work. The people that work the gardens are very talented and well-spirited. Definitely worthwhile to check out. But better yet is if you can go to an event, that will allow you to feel more belonging in the surroundings. Great if you are a conference planner.

For visitors to Ensenada in Baja California - the Mexican Reviera, a visit to the "Cento Civico" - the Cultural Center provides a taste of Mexican cultural flavor. This is a one-time hotel where in the days of prohibition in USA - was patronised by Al-Capone !

This is a beautiful building, lovingly restored from its former use as the casino in the 1920s.

Our Princess cruise stopped in Ensenada in Sept. 2011. We enjoyed the day walking through town shopping and sitting in a local cafe with afew beverages.

We caught a Mexican wedding at the cultural center along the waterfront. It has beautiful inner courtyards like something out of Zorro, a historic well and quaint gardens in the rear.
