This is a good activity for those that like to hike as the path/stairs upward can be a challenge but the view from the top is well worth it. It is a goal to climb to the top for many of our friends who come to visit Mazatlan. More

It was quite a hike. Go early in the morning and take water. There are lots of places along the way to take a break and have a seat on the railing and some benches. Even with a few breaks along the way, it only took about 20 minutes to get up. Once you get to the top, there is... More

We did this...only once...at 3pm. Big mistake at that time of the day because it is HOT! Setting that aside, you MUST try this, with proper shoes (we had flip-flops)...ok, it was a spontaeous decision...after a few beers. The view is beautiful and it really was fun! More

If you like a wonderful view and an energetic walk, this is the place to go. Recently an inukshuk has been placed on the path to the top. Very safe entertainment. More

Lots of walking to get to the top but an awesome view. They do not let you up into the lighthouse as it is working but you can look around. For extra excitement venture off the trail and create your own route. It will take twice as long so bring plenty of water. More

We got dropped off near the base of the hill that the lighthouse is perched on. Recommend this hike in the morning hours! It's a steep climb and even at 10 a.m., we really felt the heat. As you hike up, the view of the sewage treatment (smelly but interesting) gives way to a stunning panorama of the city and... More

This attraction is not to be missed. We visited in late afternoon after riding the city bus, an adventure in itself. To take the line that goes right to the lighthouse you have to transfer at the bus terminal; otherwise, take the one that goes to Los Altos and simply walk the remaining kilometer or so. There is actually a... More
