We were unable to stay because there were no lounge chairs in the shade (no umbrellas or palapa s). We were travelling with two infants so shade for them is a must. The beach was nice and quiet, but very small. And a long drive to get there. Would have stayed if we hadn't had the shade issue.

We cycled down to this beach in the hopes that we could book a snorkeling trip to the reef. Unfortunately the timings didn't work for us so we just stopped for a drink. We didn't even have a swim as the beach wasn't nearly as nice as we were expecting. The beach bar had highly inflated prices and the guy... More

Had to go for membership seminar. Got the best deal at the end of the session but we ran out of time (had to meet up with friends) to end the deal. They only do deals in person, by the time we rescheduled, it was time to head home.

The main thing I want to tell people visiting this beach is to bring water shoes! The sand is very rough with broken coral and shells. As we walked into the water, we'd go "ouch, ouch, ouch!" Also, it is just a bit deep for very young children. My granddaughter is 6 and could not go very far before losing... More

A nice escape from the touristy beaches. Cab fare was $20 each way for two people. About a 15 minute ride. Greeted on site by photographer to take pic with sombreros. Then greeted by waitstaff who were very attentive the whole time. We received our drinks with extra alcohol at no charge. I would definitely say the customer service was... More

This is a nice beach with a good bar and snacks to help make your day near the ocean fun and enjoyable! The dive/ snorkel shop can arrange diving and snorkeling tours by boat. Chill out on the loungers with a cool Margarita and some ceviche and enjoy the beautiful turquoise water!

Nice 'off the grid' beach club, very relaxed, excellent place to relax and get into 'the zone'. When diving many of the various dive ops use the pier just south and it is an great place to tune into the island.

One of the rare beaches with free access in Cozumel. The beach is really nice and the bar not too pushy when proposing drinks or food. We ha a wonderful time !

I recently visited Playa Palancar during a cruise to Cozumel. We wanted to visit a beach that wasn't very touristy, and this beach far exceeded our expectations. If you are looking for a laid back scene, this is a must. With options ranging from hammocks to chez lounges on the beach, there is a relaxing spot for everyone. The restaurant... More

unlike some resort beaches, the playa palancar beach has room to spread out. you don't feel all cramped up, but the basic amenities are only a few steps away. shopping, food, restrooms, showers, boating and water activities... all right there.
