forget the main lake. get yourself to the middle lakes and bathe in transulent pools in the garden of eden before the taleban start fishing again with hand grenades!! This truly is a wonder of the world. More

One of the most beatiful places in Afghanistan is Band-e Amir lakes, 3 hours from Bamyan valley. This place is actually only tourist destination among Afghans (other destiantions are related to islam), extremely popular. Because the lakes are quite high (around 3 km), they are accessable only during summer season. You have to hire car with driver. Only 70 km... More
