We have been to many zoos in north America and would definitely rate this zoo as world class. The exhibits are very well laid out with great opportunity to see the animals. This place is great way to spend the day with the family. More

Beautiful zoo lights during the winter but more importantly, the Calgary Zoo is always worth a trip. The spectrum of animals at this zoo is incredible to see. Be aware, the elephants are moving away from the zoo so if that is your favourite (as it is mine!), then you will need to get there within the next few months!... More

the zoo was alright i suppose. busy, muddy, somewhat overrated. and the penguin exhibit had like a two hour wait. didn't feel like waiting around outside to see them. maybe i'll go again, but maybe not. More

We didn't intend to visit the zoo, we ventured to Calgary in the hope of getting into the comic con but it was not to be...so rather disappointedly,we went in search of the zoo. What a surprise...the zoo was lovely, clean and tidy, the animals looked very healthy and active, the peacocks strutting around the zoo were a revelation- I didn't realize they... More

I spent 3 days in Calgary with my 20 month grandson while his mother was in courses. I knew we could not shop so we went to the zoo everyday. Discounts for the zoo are available online and at many hotels. The hotel we were staying at offered a 25% off gate admission. The animals were in great condition and... More

They do their best to give the animals the most natural setting possible. Always developing more appropriate settings. You could spend days wandering through the exhibits. More

If it is nice outside then take the day and enjoy yourself at the zoo! There are so many great pictures that you can take and soon enough you will find that your whole day has disappeared into the wild! More

A must for families. Tire out the kids, educate them a little in the process and have fun yourselves. More

We spent a few hours here and only visited the African, South American and Eurasia areas. We didn't get a chance to see the Canadian areas or the penguins. My son had a blast in the playground too! More
