We visit JJNC fairly regularly with our two kids under age 6. They love the indoor play area. There are registered programs as well as daily stuff that goes on that is nature-related. My son loves nature and animals etc. Taking him to a place like this was amazing. He didn't even want junk from the gift store, or any high priced food. Too absorbed in the beauty around him. That is saying a lot if a place can accomplish that, with a three year old boy

Has a fantastic childrens' nature-themed climbing playroom! WOW!!! You have to see it! caves, beaver dam, trees... Minimal entrance fees, playroom incl. in cost.

Wonderful nature walks, great educational programs, a "must see" for every city kid! They have programs from geocaching for all ages to worm composting. A great place for nature enthusiasts who live in the city.

Lots of hands-on displays with good educational components. Lots of room for the kids to explore. Not so big that the kids get bored.
