Stunning view of the majestic mountains and the incredible glacier. And good information on geology, ecology, history. Worth my time.

We were driving north and didn't have a reservation. Out plan was to stay in Jasper, but we checked with the desk right before 6pm and they told us they had two "no shows" which would be released at 6pm. We ended up with a great room and a great experience.
Great exhibits on the glaciers and the Columbia ice field. Great views of glacier from decks. A hub of activity. Lots of tour buses. The Icefield centre is great way to get to know what you are going to see when you go to the Ice Field. Its a must see trip.

This is a very popular place due to the environment and location. Tourist are fed into this site due to the glaciers. Prices are vuite expensive however reasonable given the site. Displays are quite good at the centre.
we had stop of on our way to Jasper .. the young lady was very helpful !! we returned the next day & went out on the ice !!
Has a dining room and cafeteria, gift shop ,washrooms etc.The food we had in the cafeteria was ok and warmed us up but could not get excited by it. Probably the best bit was an exhibition which is located downstairs.
Stopped here to of course, get our tickets to the Athabasca Glacier. Was very organized considering the crowds. Had lunch in cafe...was just fine for our continuing drive to Jasper. Great gift shop and bathroom break stop along the Icefields Parkway! Clean building with lots of information on site for travelling in the area.
Lots of information, but the Canadian rangers are not as professional and knowledgeable as the U.S. national parks rangers. The Center has become, to the chagrin of the ranger I spoke with, a tourist center to buy bus rides on the endangered glacier. But, he said, it pays the bills. The view is wonderful, though.
