Shopping on 4th street or on Robson is a must. Restaurants are all plentiful and delicious. Bring an umbrella in Fall and Winter!

The people are so polite you would think it is a small town not a city. In many ways similar to Boston. Great walking city but food in shops and restaurants is expensive.
I like Vancouver downtown, but it still lacks a true, meaningful, characteristic and unique flavour. Other downtowns in North America, are just simply unforgettable because of their uniqueness. Vancouver's... not really.
I love the walkability of the city., and so much to see and do. The architecture is incredible. Guide books usually include walking tours of the buildings, such as the Marine Building, the Art Gallery, Canada Place on the Bay where cruise ships dock. Buses are available, but I found I could walk to places quicker than waiting for the...

we were lucky enough to travel in several places around the world so no wonder why we loved this area...we're still in canada but with hundreds of food from the world...Iran, Korea, Chinese, Japanese...we'll review the restaurants soon, some places you shouldn't miss while over there!
we walked around the area and Yaletown, cruise terminal, convention center. All the sites were wonderful along with the weather-60's. Starbucks was close by-wonderful. Pastries and Canadian beers were great.
Vancouver is a modern, bright city with a mix of heritage buildings and modern architure sky scrapers. One could not help noticing there is no graffitti in Vancouver city. Transport is very efficient and there is a diverse culture within the city.
