Sometimes when we go to Victoria we actually fly into Vancouver just so we can take the ferry over! It is a great experience. We usually go to the Captains Buffet, where the food is great & you have a less crowded area to enjoy the ferry ride in. Kids love it. A real experience for young & old!

Went from Vancouver to Swartz Bay and left Victoria on the ferry from Nanaimo back to Vancouver. The trip was quite comfortable and enjoyable. Food readily available to buy and also a souvenir come gift and clothing shop. Travelling by tourist coach we were among the first on and off so can not comment on what it is like to... More

Enjoyed the views. Lots of seating but the windows seats sure fill up fast. I think since we were on a tour bus and had to make our way up after unloading buses, many single groups were quicker getting into the seating areas. Food variety was good. I used the pay phone with a calling card on board-went well. Somehow... More

We travelled the Inner Psssage and Victoria to Vancouver on BC Ferries. Excellent passenger facilities on clean well maintained ships. Staff attentitive and helpful. Boats on time at start and finish. The Inside Passage is a must do trip and it is worth paying the extra for seating in the Aurora Lounge to get the best views.

I took the ferry ride from Vancouver to Victoria (Swartz Bay) on May 31st. The ferry is large and not wobbly. I don't feel I was inside a ship on water. It has two decks with indoor seating and benches outdoor and on the top. The food service was decent and surprisingly not expensive. Choices were mainly burgers and fries... More

We enjoyed our trip from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo on BC Ferries. The ferry was clean and comfortable and the free wifi enabled me to get a bit of work done while enjoying the scenery.

The day was long and started very early in Prince Rupert but was well worth it. The views along the way were like those of the Scandinavian fjords, hypnotising. Good choice of food- cheaper cafeteria style or fancier restaurant buffet. Two free movies during the trip- small shop with essentials, souvenirs and clothing. We were on the Northern Expedition, a... More

We took a bus from Vancouver Airport to Victoria. The bus are in connection with the Ferries and the whole trip was really smooth. The bus drives into the ferry and once in it, you can enjoy most of the decks. During the trip, you can enjoy the sunshine on deck 6 or 7 as well as the landscape. Along... More

Our beautiful island is worth visiting. You can take the ferry or fly over. Occasionally you can see sights like dolphins! It is much cheaper to walk on ( paid parking where you can leave a car) than take your car and if you are in a hurry fly from Vancouver harbour to harbour in Nanaimo instead. You can get... More

They've made a lot of upgrades and the BC Ferries are now second to none, just possibly ranking behind Silkja Lines that make the Helsinki-Stockholm-Copenhagen run. They run on the hour, they have great vehicle capacity, large dining area, decent washrooms, and comfortable seats to while away the 1.5 hour trip. Foot passengers do not get the short end of...
