Found many great craft items and art done by Yellowknife citizens. Worth the time. I liked finding out that the coop also had a website to purchase items from home.

There was so much to see here that you need some time. Some areas were unfinished and they could have put some signage to explain when it will be ready but overall I enjoyed the visit.
A great way to appreciate the indiginous people, their heritage, history, arts and crafts, and their participation in a yellowknife history of mining, fihing, etc. Abundance of waterways and lakes makes for a very pastoral connection with the enviroment. City has a nice feel, and a clean footprint. the enviroment
Great history of the area. Lots of artifacts, minerals, dioramas, a huge canoe made of skins. Lots of information. Free.
We were visiting between flights, so not much time. We were able to visit quite a bit, but could have spent many more hours enjoying. They have a large exhibit of the animals which inhabit the area, plus interesting First Nation history.
Showcases some amazing Art and really shows the culture of Yellowknife
