Much of the same stuff if you live in or around halifax and have visited once. I do echo the last reviewer in saying that they probably do well on their budget and the kids seemed to enjoy their time on our rainy day visit to the museum.

I have visited this museum dozens of times and I think considering their probable budget they do extremely well
I had an enjoyable sunday in this museum. it may be a bit bigger with more species, but it was good. I liked babay snakes too much. But there should be much about puffins. Because nova scotia is hearth of puffins. And also it should be free for students.
Note that this museum has a free admission evening, although I would also pay to see it. The special exhibit we saw was quite interesting but the regular exhibits are very well done. There is a lot of variety - taxidermy animals, live marine life, great geology, and a 3-D globe of changing information surrounded by seats for when you...

We took our son here on a recent visit to Halifax. We all enjoyed the experience. They currently have a desert exhibit along with interactive live animal shows. It's well worth the trip.
We stop in every time we are in Halifax. Exhibits change often enough that there's been something new to see every time we go. Live animal shows were definitely a highlight of the trip.
This museum is located in the heart of the south end of Halifax and is easy to get to on foot. It is a place that can be enjoyed for the morning or all day, depending on the interest you have in the exhibits. There are many things that would appeal to children of all ages. Special exhibits can be...

I have a yearly pass and we enjoy taking our Grandaughter at least a couple times a year. She enjoys it very much as did our children when they were younger. However adults also enjoy the museum something there for everyone.
Our little one loved seeing all the animals! Gus of course is a must see, I remember seeing him when I was just a kid, so to be able to bring my child to see him is pretty awesome. The beehive is so interesting! It's bigger than it seems, take the time to explore all of it!
So worth a visit! Many exhibits and such a nice museum. Easy to pass a couple of hours with adults and children alike.
