We recently enjoyed a beautiful afternoon walk by the waterfront. It was pleasant-even in November. We look forward to trying again in the summer.
You can start from the Fort Henry, down the hill, across the causeway, around Fort Frontenac, through the park, around the hotels, it just goes on and on. There is a point where you have to walk around a subdivision before you reach Kingston Penitentiary. Then you carry on to Lake Ontario park. Worth the walk. Takes a couple of... More
Kingston downtown area, nice park, lots of festivals and such going on by waterfront, tourist info centre, city hall. Also, twice a week is an open farmers markets which has been going on for decades. this is behind City Hall, and in the wintertime, the area is turned into an ice skating rink for all. You can walk for blocks... More

Restaurants and pubs abound. I recommend taking a city tour for an... More
Kingston is a great weekend get-away. Easy trip via ferry. Walking around Kingston... places to eat, drink and explore. Concert hall is within walking distance from downtown, right across from ferry dock. Great couples get-away.

Everything about the boat tour was marvellous, except that I didn`t feel that we got very close to any islands. The stories were very interesting, but I felt that the other people on the boat weren`t really listening - most were foreign tourists, I think, who maybe didn`t understand English.
