The farm is a great place to visit with all the animals and you can probably do the whole place in less than an hour. Then visit the gift shop/washroom area and you can buy some homemade cookies/cupcakes. Or bring your own picnic with you and sit on the grass outside the farm, with a little wading pool. Better yet,... More

It's not large but you can't beat having the lucky fortune to be able to walk around a farm in the city. There are enough animals to keep you happy and the surrounding area of Cabbagetown is a great extention of your visit. You're better off entering from Cabbagetown instead of Broadview (unless you like steep hills!) This place is... More

In a little park overlooking the Don River and Don Valley, this historic farm is a peaceful place to spend a couple of hours with kids. Feels like an escape from the city without the drive.

This is a unique opportunity to take kids to see the animals without a trek out of the city. There is also an engaging learning centre nearby. Good place to walk around, and entertaining for small children.

Not very big, but the kids loved the farm animals, and seeing how things are maintained at a farm. Splash pad and small park nearby.

off the beaten path, tucked away in Riverdale Park, the west side. It's like visiting a little farm in the city. Very relaxing and not usually very crowded. Also, it's free! Just a joy for children who delight at seeing all the farm animals. If they come at the right time, they might be allowed to feed some of them.

Kids love this place, where they can interact with animals and see a charming barn from the old times. It is free and works well as a follow up to your visit to Cabbagetown. Actually, the street leading to the farm from Cabbagetown features much nicer Victorian houses than the actual main street of Cabbagetown.

Riverdale farm is such an odd gem in Toronto. I love that we have a little farm, that's free to visit, surrounded by elegant Victorian mansions. It's a lovely place to bring kids, though I don't have any and adore it anyway.

A small gem in the east end of downtown, Riverdale Farm was very enjoyable to stroll through! If you have kids, bring your children!
