This was a charming little church just past the Bonsecours Market. We thought the ceiling was pretty and liked how there were ships suspended from the ceiling. There is a museum in the back for those interested in more details.
The place consists of the chapel, which can be entered for free, and the museum, which costs $10.00C. The chapel was originally built by Marguerite Bourgeoys, who was later canonized.

We just kind of stumbled across this and it is charming. It is worth the visit just for the view from the tower. There are 69 steps to climb so its not for the faint of heart. I decided not to go to the cript as it was more stairs. It was only when the lady asked me had I...

I can only imagine what ceromony would be like in this church. The organ was being played when we were there what a sound!
Wonderful history in a magnificant Chapel. Safe, peaceful, beautiful, tucked in Old Montreal. Lovely paintings.
My husband and I were walking around Old Montreal and had passed by this Chapel. Very nice and clean on the inside; not comparable to the Notre Dame, but still very nice. Free to see! Lots of history to learn. Definitely worth seeing if you're passing by.
This place is fabulous. This is one of are best catholique bulding in Montréal. For a visit or for a mariage, you will mouth shut looking at the deseign. It's a stop to do. Don't miss it !
great church a must see when in Montreal History and beauty, need more review so I will see it is beautiful again
Take the time to visit the church and the museum. It is well worth it for the history. Go to the top of the tower for the view all over the city. There are lots of steps and unfortunately on the day we were there the elevator was not working. It is not expensive and the museum is great.
