Kids (2+6) loved it. A little expensive for the short time you need to see everything. $50 to get in and we went through the whole place in about 2 1/2 hours. We went the first weekend in May and the regular sized train wasn't running but we went on the little one. The miniature train ride is a must... More

This museum is a must see attraction in Montreal. When we were planning out trip to Montreal, we looked up things to do in Trip Advisor and Railway museum was recommended. We have to small boys (ages 7 and 20 months) and we were a little leery of how good this would be and how it would be for them... More

This is a fabulous museum and will take all day if the outside is open too. We went yesterday because our 3 1/2 year old son loves trains. We were too early in the season for the outside activities (except the miniture train ride) to be open so I wondered whether there would be enough to occupy him. How wrong... More

It really depends who you are. Personally, I am a huge train lover (I just find the whole structure and engineering behind railways extremely fascinating), which is why I loved it so much, but if you don't love trains, you may not be too excited about it... BRING WATER (very expensive if you buy it there!)

I took my kids and some of their friend (ages between 6 and 10) to that museum without any expectation. I remembered going there when I was a kids and has a vague memory that I had a good time. for that afternoon I was a kid again. In the main building you have all those trains that you can... More

Relive the past with the Canadian Railway Museum. There is a lot of things to see and do. During the summer months, you can ride a trolley, take a ride in a miniature train. There is an outstanding HO layout. Well worth it with young childrens. My two grandsons just love it and we go there about every year.

it is really a matter of interest. I am not. However, I learned about trains and the importance in Montreal and Canada because of this museum. Well located. Takes 45 minutes : remember, I am not a fan of trains.

My son loves train... I think all boys are. He spent a lot of time in trying various trains available in this museum. Tehre is a train outside teh museum that you can ride on, which is also fun for teh entire family. I wish there are more shows/activities that they can offer to the children. Otherwise, everything was perfect.
