Place d'youville is a great place to start a walk on rue St-Jean you can also stop there to enjoy the skating ice during the winter. During summer it is a busy place where you can see soem shows especially during the "Festival d'été de Québec)

We found this a beautiful place to watch the skaters on the outdoor rink listen to the music and enjoy the evening. Being at the entrance to Old Quebec it is a great place to start your tour down St Jean st.

Free skating. Has a small building with benches, locker and rags to dry off your skates. Rentals available as well. Wish we had something like this near me. Free flapjack breakfast on weekends during Winter Carnivale.

in winter there's a nice little ice skating right in the middle. Quite cute. Other than that no much. It is the entrance of Old Quebec

There was a lot of shops and businesses in the area. Some where a little more modern and the theatre was all done up for winter. Looked awesome. There was an outdoor skating rink set up and people were having a great time out on it and this was in the evening. Lots of places to eat in this area...

As travelers staying in the heart of Old Town's tourist area, it was nice to see a part of Quebec City that felt like a more authentic representation of modern life! We took the free Ecolobus up, and then outside of the wall, and walked two blocks downhill to Saint-Jean. To the right is Place d'Youville, but to the left...
