King George III paid for the construction of the Cathedral and provided a folio Bible, communion silverware and large prayer books to be used for worship. The completed building was consecrated on August 28, 1804 and has served as the focus of Anglican life and worship in the Diocese of Quebec ever since.Today the Cathedral is home to a strong community of Anglican and Lutheran Christians, with two main Sunday services, one in French (Tous les Saints) and the other in English (Parish of Quebec). Worship services are contemporary in language and style but continue in the great cathedral tradition with a particular focus on choral music. We have a lively program for parish children with a friendly Sunday School. Our commitment to help out in our community and beyond includes a refugee sponsorship program, The Noella Project; and ministry to seafarers stopping over in the Port of Quebec. « less

Our hotel room faced the church and we were called to Sunday services by the ringing church bells. We were welcomed by the parishoners and enjoyed the service given in both english and french. Very beautiful sanctuary.

Notre Dame, half a block away is all about white and gold, This church is all about woods and muted colors. They are both interesting and inspiring places, but they are amazingly different from each other.

I've visited Quebec City a number of times, and Holy Trinity Cathedral has become my home away from home for church. The services are lovely. The people have always been warm and friendly sharing coffee or going out to eat afterwards. I attended a Christmas pageant a few years ago, and it was everything a Christmas pageant should be.

The Anglican cathedral is one of the oldest houses of worship in the New World, and a delight to see. It is modeled after St. Martin-in-the-Fields in London.

Well, first of all, the start picture shows the Catholic Basilica, not the Anglican Cathedral! But once you have found it, it is sooooo much worth a visit! First of all, because it is a jewel of Palladian Architecture, pure, simple and so harmonious. But then, we came back on a Sunday morning. The Choral Eucharist at 11 was spectacular:... More

There are many churches and cathedrals in Old Quebec. This one will not disappoint! It is yet another wonderful attraction of this part of the city.

Located across the street from the Frontenac, the simplicity of the church makes it interesting to visit. If you are going to be in this area of old Quebec stop in and check out the interior.

The cathedral itself was pleasant, old and peaceful, but what I really enjoyed were the booths of gallery-quality hand-made jewelry, cloth, wood etc. Very inventive and charming, much nicer than in the shops. Merci!

The Holy Trinity Cathedral is a gem amidst the compact, Catholic, stone city of Quebec. The exterior is all neoclassical balance and boldness. The interior is splendid: pragmatic woodwork, polychromatic stained glass, and white curved walls all peppered with historical highlights. This pocket of Britishness was the first Anglican Church outside the Isles. But don't miss their bells. Sign up... More

This is a pretty church worth a visit if you enjoy this sort of thing. I believe it was the first Anglican church set up outside of the British Isles. They have a gift shop and offers tours (though I don't think they are offered during the off season).
