Wow, what a beautiful hike. Only 1.6 km on the easy route (1.4 km on the more difficult route). Two amazing blue/green clear lakes await you at the end! We have a family of four (2, 6, 9, 11 years old) and we took the easy route on the way there with a sturdy stroller for our 2 yr old... More

There are two trails to Grassi Lakes; take the "More Difficult" on the way up for some great view of Canmore and the reservoir, take the "Easy" for a nice easy walk back down. The two lakes are stunningly blue and for those that are willing to do a bit more hiking, there are great pictographs further up the mountain.

The Hike starts at the parking lot and the great feature is that gives you a choice of an easy route and a challenging one we took the second and it was great it has from a little bit of flats to some hard and steep climbing that will challenge most people that is not in good shape but it... More

My husband and I did this trail on our honeymoon. We went earlier in the morning because we heard it`s much busier in the afternoon We did the ''more difficult'' path but the only difficult thing about it i found was that the terrain was rockier with more roots. It starts with a steeper incline which will make you work... More

Stunning place and only a short easy 30 min hike from the parking area, well worth it! It is also easily accessible from Canmore - a short 10 min drive from the town centre.

Do this walk if nothing else. The slightly harder route isnt really that difficult but well worth doing. Once at the lakes the colour is beautiful and the views superb. A interesting location with all the rock climbers and so close to Canmore.

Go up the left side which is steeper but better views. Can come down the easier side for speed. Good views of rock climbers.

Beautiful area: such a nice, easy, short hike to do. Love the lakes and climbing activities; we have hiked this area several times as a couple but most recently in a large group of friends. Trail is marked nicely, but please remember to be courteous on some of the narrow incline paths; I was pushed from the path and scraped... More

We recently completed this hike as a group of 4 in April 2013 and had a wonderful time. The surroundings are gorgeous and there are a ton of great photo opportunities, especially when you reach the top of the trail. We saw no wildlife along the way, but still wouldn't hike here without bear spray. The trail does have some... More

Easy walk, fantastic views, place with history and surely so meditative if you are lucky to have not too many people around!
