Liked the tour. We saw an owl, some american dippers, sandpipers, and a trout swimming below us. The staff were great and we were well taken care of. I think anybody could do this tour. It was safe, comfortable. We went through rapids after learning how to work as a group and prepped for any dangers. I felt we were... More

We (3 adults) had a wonderful time. Went in mid August and saw hundreds and hundreds of salmon all around us. Next visit to Vancouver Island will definitely include a repeat of this day. The staff were excellent and even the weak swimmer in our group felt safe. You have the option of returning to the raft whenever you want... More

This was an awesome way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Jamie and his guides made for a safe and enjoyable white water rafting. We travel the Nimpkish River for 21km downstream to the lake, encountering wildlife, fish, the most beautiful scenery on the planet and the history of the logging industry on Vancouver Island from the 1940's. Jamie was born... More

Had an amazing day on the river doing the "Nimpkish River Wilderness Adventure"...the water level was too low to do the "whitewater" trip but this one suited me fine. It is a long full day of travel and rafting. Stopped along the river for a wonderful lunch and later for a snack. Had the opportunity to cliff jump but it... More

If you live here in Campbell River you need to be a tourist in your own backyard starting with a river raft ride on The Nimpkish. Destiny River has real heros running the rafts!

We did the salmon snorkel in July. It was cold in the water, and I would expect that would be the case most of the year. The river is pretty calm, so not too much worry about experience. It would be neat experience if there were many fish, but I think we were too early for that. The guides were... More

I was a little unsure about this rafting/snorkeling trip as I am not a good swimmer and this was my first rafting experience. It was great, the staff were very experienced and I snorkeled for a bit although the water really is quite cold. All the gear you need is provided although I wish I had brought my own snorkelling... The scenery on this rafting trip was amazing. We saw eagle nests and various other birds and plenty of salmon swimming up river. Our guide (Jim) had nearly 30 years of experience as a guide and was so knowledge about the area and the river. This trip was well worth the price.

I have gone on several rafting trips with Destiny - Upper and Lower Nimpkish, and the Campbell salmon viewing float, and they are all exceptional. The Nimpkish trips, which involve some white water, were thrilling and exciting, but I felt completely secure with Destiny, as did my children and friends. Destiny staff teach whitewater safety courses, and it really shows... More
