I personally would join it with walking the wild pacific trail, but you can just drive to the lighthouse. It is nice to be able to sit and watch the waves come crashing into the shore. Have a camera ready, because some of the waves are really impressive. The lighthouse itself is not much of the attraction, you get a... More

A must do for the traveller. See the crashing waves against the rocks. Tidal pools with sea anemies and little crabs as well as all sorts of wilds life. The smell of the cedar trees and the salt air will thrill your senses. You can see forever. So beautiful, words can not discribe. The paintings of Emily Carr are every... More

We went on a stormy day and were the only people around, which was nice. Can you go in the lighthouse? No one around and all was locked up. A sheltered viewing area would have kept us there longer, but we were very exposed to the wind and driving rain. Saw eagles up close.

Very scenic trail. Easy walking, even for people carrying a baby and not in hiking shoes. Gorgeous views of the ocean from many vantage points. We saw a couple of otters! I enjoyed the informational signs.

A lovely walk with great photo opportunities. The lighthouse it self isn't that spectacular but the walk is beautiful with great views.

How can you possibly come to Ucluelet and not visit the lighthouse area. During the summer we can see whales right from the shore. Last summer there were Orca whales near shore. Today (February) a really good wind with crashing surf. The trail is easy walking and the lighthouse is a 5 minute walk from parking

THis is an excelet place to come and storm watch! It is a popular place to walk. It is really popular at sun set. THis is part of the Wild Pacific Trail that runs in two parts along the coast of Ucluelet.

The most important is to start the trail at the right moment in the day, to take advantage of the changing light. In August the ocean was rather quiet when we visited, but it can be very exciting to discover the area with more wind and waves. Very quiet place, very few visitors. Avoid walking on the rocks, it's really... More

There is a constantly changing vista presented at each of the many viewpoints and the 2.5km trail covers a huge range of environments plus there is a lighthouse to explore as a bonus!
