Once inside we were suprised by the quality of architectural features. We thought the entrance fee might be a waste of money but walked out of the building feeling we had made a useful contribution to maintaining an important part of English Heritage. More

A bit pricey for what you are going to see. However all money is going to keep it open and used. Once you get your head round that all seems good. Interesting building, was busy when we went as they had plant sale on. Audio guides worked well. More

The cathedral in Chester is well worth a visit. The inner garden is tranquil and has a lovely water feature and you can get an excellent view of the architecture from within. The interior is amazing and the roof structures very impressive. Well worth the £6 entry fee. More
