Brilliant beach with great waves for a beginner surfer like me! The RNLI's presence made me feel very safe in the water.

I can now see why newquay and fistral are called the surf capital of Britain, I have never seen so many people in the water catching waves, i wanted to give it a go but it looks dangerous! i take my hat off to the surfer dudes and gals ;p. Beach was clean only problem is the toilets are miles... More

I am in love with this beach... In the afternoon, people of all sort of age go to the water with their surf board, no matter if they are professional or not, there is an energetic vibe in the air that makes you just go for it!.. and if this vibe doesn't catch you, don't worry, you will be amazed... I loved that the beach surrounds the corner of where we stayed. The lifeguards were there until late and are always reminding surfers to stay within the surfing flags for safety.

Fabulous beach and all facilities are available. Great for all the family not just the surfers. Encapsulates what Newquay is all about

The beach is great and has not changed much since i was a child, although redeveloped it has not taken away from the beach BUT the parking AVOID like the plague, we parked and were not quick enough getting a parking ticket, so through the post we got a £100 parking fine even though we purchased a ticket - just... Despite the date my review says I went, I actually went when a few years ago. As a lover of extreme sports and surfing, I was in heaven. The beach, as I'm sure you know, is great for surfing and bodyboarding. I just loved the laid back atmosphere and the friendly nature of everyone around. We were lucky with the... More

Lovely beach, great sunsets, just be aware the private company will change to muchos bucks if you overstay your welcome - you have a 20 minute grace period but they have been known to not stick to that. I parked for 30 mins after 9pm, didn't see any parking signs at all, but I was caught on camera and charged... More

A well known and well regarded Cornish beach that richly deserves its praise. We walked the length of the beach and found it very enjoyable - not busy and the view of the cliffs was awesome. Very well worth a visit.
