The surf school is run by the owners of Driftwood lodge and i had a great time staying with them. I hadn't surfed before, but found Mat very helpful and informative. It was a great day out and i only regret not having the strength to keep on paddling!

Me and a couple mates stayed at the lodge for a few days. The second we got there they were very accommodating. We were made to feel at home the second we got there. The lodge and room was tidy and welcoming. We had a room for 4 and one of our friends pulled out. We offered to pay for... More

I stayed at Driftwood Surf Lodge with a couple of mates for 4 nights. Hostel was very clean, working facilities, Mat and Kirsteen were both lovely relaxed people as well. The lodge is literally about 30 seconds walk from Newquay high street and a few minutes from the beach, so couldn't ask for a better location. Half price surf lessons... More

Definitely the best surf lesson ever! Got lucky cause the first day I was there, I was the only lesson they had, so got it totally personalized! Mat was great! Spent the first 45mins explaining what I was doing wrong and how to do it right. As a result when we got out into the water I was able to... More

Adults and kids alike had a fantastic expereince learning to surf (all for the first time) with Matt on Great Western Beach. The weather could have been a lot better, but we didn't notice because Matt kept us engaged and busy throughout our lesson. We were a large group of 9, but Surfing The Dream had equipment for us all.... More

An absolutely fantastic surf school. The service was brilliant - from the inital phone call, wet suits delivered to the hotel so you can put them on in your room, a lift to the beach with the best surfing conditions and then a fantastic lesson! Mat is a brilliant instructor, he explained everything well and was so passionate about what... More
