Amazing golden sands with a few ship wreaks poking out here and there! The sea looks tropically turquoise but is absolutely freezing right now. Never really busy but popular with dog owners, horse riders and runners. A pleasure just to walk from one end to the other and admire the views.

We have been to this beach for many years. On our visits we get there about 9am guaranteeing a car parking place next to the beach we literally just drop our gear down over the wall on to the beach. there are good facilities here - Lifeguards, toilets (clean ones !) shop for food and all other beach essentials. Lovely little gem of a beach, fairly quiet as it's just outside St Ives proper. Beach is clean and not very crowded. The hill up to the train station and the main road is very steep though!

I love this beach although I hate the car parking charges in the summer. My only disappointment is the facilities, very dated and tatty and a little like going back in time. However, the beach itself is beautiful with views across to St Ives and Hayle and lots to keep the kids entertained.

Huge beach, especially when tide was out. Very very clean, with a freshwater stream feeding through it that my girls loved digging rivers and building dams in. Just a hotel, small shop and coffee shop there, so peaceful.

This beach is a little stunner. We drove up to it last year passing the train line which must offer fantastic views of this place too.It is never too busy when we visit and you can park your car fairly near and walk down.Another great Cornish beach.I have never found a bad one yet!

Very pretty and quiet! Worth a visit via the little train and to watch the surfers, would be super in the summer

This has been a favourite for over thirty years and now my grandchildren are fans. It is clean and breathtaking. It reminds me why we should stay on our country more often !!

This is a great beach. There is parking close by but this will probably be very busy in the summer. Plenty of surf and sand so good for everyone. Cafe close by.

Clean despite all the dogs and has cafe to warm up, refresh and stock up on bucket and spades. Not too busy so good alternative to St.Ives.
