Small but interesting museum with a childrens section that makes visiting so much fun for them. I use to love the tearooms there but since it has been taken over I won't be using them again.

I went as my grangchild liked the toy section but this wasa typical small town mishmash of bits and pieces. THe cafe was poor - for the second time they were not serving a good variety of fare at noon and I was told I would have to wait to eat anything substantial.

A really interesting mix of stuff, from Egyptian to local Brighton memorabilia. But could be better. kids interested in the BIBA fashion exhibit (£6 adults, kids <16 free). unfortunately all of the screens in the (small) Egyptian exhibit were not working, however what was on display was interesting.

This is a very small museum on a road not far from the seafront. I particulary enjoyed the Jacqueline Wilson exhibit & enjoyed reading all about her childhood. Any child who loves her books would be thrilled to visit this section of the museum. The toy exhibits were fascinating & really jolted my memory of toys I once owned in... More

Hove Museum is one of those places that's easy to miss as it's so small - don't let that put you off a visit. The current Jacqueline Wilson exhibit is really informative and fun - great for kids who love her books. I personally loved seeing the old pictures of the city in the days before the rows and rows... A relatively small museum but packed full of fascinating objects. Especially good if you are interested in contemporary design.

Free to all, with specialist exhibitions to surprise you, it's always a good day out; and you do need a good 4 hours to take in what's on offer, a whole day if you dare, because you really do need to read all about Brighton and Hove's history and take in all the art. But sustainance is on hand with... More

Not as big as the Brighton art museum, it has less space for exhibits, and they can sometimes seem esoteric. There's a nice history gallery, especially the section on local architecture. The cafe is especially nice, with yummy cakes.

at the moment, the barbara hulianki BIBA exhibition epitomises the innovation of the 60's . do not miss it and take time to see the other collections.
