And what's up with the local paper? Only in Brighton...Only in Brighton is a vivid 80-minute guided walk. It is a curiously fact-filled and tongue-in-cheek look at the landmarks, past and present, that make Brighton a city like no other. For the visitor, it is an insider's introduction; for the hardened Brightonian, a revelation and celebration. This personal tribute cuts to the heart of a unique city in all its glory, shame and muesli. Tours Fridays and Saturdays 7pm. £7/6. Meet outside Al Duomo restaurant. No need to book. « less

This was my 4th Brighton tour this year (they have all been really good!)...and it was brilliant. Full of great facts, interesting and funny....presented by someone with a real passion for this beautiful little city....in among the facts and jokes there were actually some lovely and poinient moments as the guides love for the place came through. Funny, informative and... More

I have only just moved to Brighton so this was a good opportunity to find out some of the little-known facts that you perhaps don't read about in the official guides. Starting at the Al Duomo we took in the Brighton Pavilion, the Dome, a bit about the local architecture, Anita Roddick's first shop, plus some interesting facts about quirky... More

the tour starts outside al duomo,at first i did think it had been cancelled as i stood under the canopy of the restaurant sheltering from the dreadful weather looking as dodgy as pinky in brighton rock.Eventually i realised that the soggy bunch clustered around a freddie mercury lookalike was my tour group, after introductions we set off on a very rewarding... We enjoyed this tour as part of a Living Social voucher deal. It was more than worth the money, and the information and anecdotes were fantastic. Would certainly recommend it to any visitors as well as to locals wishing to find out more about their hometown. Especially moving to hear about the man who moved into a smart seafront hotel,... Despite the windswept and rainy backdrop Rick's walking tour of the Brighton Laine area was full of interest and intrigue. As a 'nearly a local' who's lived in this amazing city for 19 years there were loads of fascinating facts and curios to mull over and raise a grin. Well priced, well paced: the 80 mins flew past. I can... More

A tour for all ages, through all ages of Brighton. Our group comprised kids, young and a little bit less young, locals and foreigners, and we all had a great time. The evening tour concept was perfect; the life and energy of the day still lingering in the air, but without the huzzle and buzzle. Our friendly and knowledgeable guide... More

I bought a voucher through 'Living Social' as I like trying new things. The tour was fantastic. It was quirky and fun and informative. Despite living in Brighton my whole life I learnt brand new things and even walked along a street I've never been down before. The tour guide Ric was knowledgable and added humour to the experience. Definitely... More

Even on a freezing cold evening we thoroughly enjoyed this tour! A good mixture of interesting tidbits, local history and dry humour, it really reflected the unique and sometimes weird character of Brighton. Even being from Brighton we still learnt a lot of new facts so would readily recommend this to visitors and locals alike. Definitely none of the cheesiness... More

I have done a few Brighton tours now, so I was wondering how this might be different. Well, it does what it says on the tin: it tells you about the things that you see... only in Brighton - origins of well-known things, superlatives, etc. For Brightonians, you'll be intrigued by the things you pass each day but have never...
