A real find. Very interesting video explaining the map. The guides were lovely. Obviously very committed to the exhibition. Frriendly and very helpful.

Be sure to watch the video explaining the Mappa prior to entering the room where it is stored. This will ensure you will pick out the finer points and references. The chain library is very interesting. My only criticism is that £6 for entry is a little expensive.

A fascinating display and intriguing map. Have wanted to see this map for years, and know i have! Well worth the visit

Brilliant, well laid out exhibition of a world famous item. Chain library amazing too, but do visit the one in Grantham for a comparable experience.

Mappa Mundi is fascinating - we spent a long time looking at it, working out where different countries were and finding different animals and mythical creatures. Although there is a charge of £6.00 a head it is well worth paying to see a unique piece of our history. A very knowledgeable volunteer explained about the origins etc of the Mappa Mundi & then told us many interesting things about the chained library.

Disappointed they charged so much to get in £6 pp. If they charged less more people would enter I'm sure making more money in the long run. Maybe a way of controlling numbers
