Very historical, plenty of hands on information for all ages, also the children are allowed to try on armour, lovely day out.
Very interesting well put together museum. Well worth a visit. Good cafe with hot food, ample car parking, walks/trails, excellent shop. The Battle of Bosworth anniversary each August is very interesting and well organised with plenty of stalls, interactive learning, and talks on the period.
Again it was well thought out but its small scale may have to be reconsidered in the wake of the King in the Car park and all the interest kindled. It risked being over run even on an ordinary weekend in June.
Informative tour round the battlefield. The guide was very good and kept us entertained in spite of the cold weather on the day.
We visited the Centre mainly because my son was studying the period at school. parking on the site is £2.50 and we paid £17.50for a family ticket to enter the Exhibition, which in this day and age seemed very fair to me. The exhibits were excellent and very informative about the Wars of the Roses and the lead up to... More
The visitor centre is very good with some very modern, informative displays. The latest info relating to the recent discovery of Richard III body was very interesting. Lots of opportunity to walk in the area. Unfortunately the visitor centre isn't actually on the battlefield as the true location has only recently been discovered. The Tithe barn restaurant was very good... More
We spent a few hours at the Heritage Centre and pulled in the hour long walk around the battlefield area. We undertook the walk under our own steam but guided tours are available if you prefer. We found the Heritage Centre very interesting, lots of info on the Battle of the Roses and plenty of hands on exhibits too. Good... More
Wow! What a fantastic attraction, and done well in a very unBritish way! The exhibition was really informative, good for adults and children. They have really tried to cover all angles. The best bit was really the actual battlefield. The walk was well signposted and you did get an actual sense of what it must have been like - helped... More
As a typical 'experience' day out this is one of the best of it's type. Plenty of information of interest, a good walk around the battlefield, even a steam train to arrive and leave by if you want to move forward a few centuries. Reasonably priced and even the catering is not bad. You will leave knowing the history of... More
