Found there to be more information re walking than expected so that was a plus. Very clean and the facilities were good. Great walk down the beach and across the dunes. AOnly down side was we didn't see any squirrels.

A great and clean beach that is perfect for walking, jogging or just a lazy sunbath. Good access via the dunes. Nice for sunsets...

It costs £5 to park for the day at the beach. There are toilet facilities, picnic and a place selling coffee in the forest and also a red squirrel walk. Children love the vast area of sand but do check for the tides. Plenty of little pools for children to paddle in and lots of shells for them to find.... More

Ooo, it's such a nice place. Definitely my favourite 'round L-pool. Just wear comfortable clothes, take a picnic blanket and make sure the weather will be nice. There is a cafe, ice cream and toilets nearby in the wood - everything you need. Perfect!

clears the cobwebs thats for sure. most times you have to pay to park on the beach but if your spending the day here its worth it. sand dunes a plenty and ice cream vans and snack vans on site.

We stayed at the Formby Point caravan park, which edges onto the lovely sand dunes. We walk over the dunes to the beach, but you can drive down the track, to pay and display car parks, and follow the recently placed wooden walkway onto the beach. Fantastic scenery. Beautiful beach, sand and dunes. Views of the Welsh mountains covered in snow and also the Lake District snowy mountains plus Blackpool Tower. Perfect! We had really gone to see the red squirrels but there were none to see unfortunately.

Lovely beach clean and well maintained. Great for long walks. Would return. We were lucky to have great weather.
