There are many colleges you may plan to visit while in Oxford. This one truly deserves to be included into your plans. It's not the most famous one, it may be not the most gorgeous one but you'll spend a very pleasant hour there to visit the buildings, to walk in the gardens. And you'll have a more peaceful moment... Went along to evening service on Monday that was a 'compline' ie historical end of the day service. Superb singing by the award-winning male choir by candlelight. Fantastic chapel - one of Oxfords' best! As per previous review can confirm that entrance is via Holywell Street gate (NB not Rd)

Access was from the Holywell road side - not where the Tourist Information had told us. Worth the walk tho - nice chapel.

We were so lucky to chance upon a carol service here with readings by John le Carre and stunning singing from the choir - all for charity but a beautiful service inside new college chapel with all its wondrous splendour, ancient achitecture and ambient setting.

Not new for several centuries this is one of the oldest colleges and once the workplace home of Dr Spooner; not always open but worth checking out the times and having a look if you can. Situated in an atmospheric old lane that's worth a visit in its own right.

I am very in love with old stone buildings and am very intrigued by the differences of each and every ancient college. Each of the old places have their own story to tell and all exude a tremendous atmosphere.

Did walking tour in morning which didn't include this and the guide said it was open in the afternoon so we went on our own, well woth a visit, the dining room is fantastic with a lovely chapel,we had the organist practising which was really nice. It was also free, but you have to pay from Easter to October

It's now not that new! It is fascinating to see where the monks hid away from the plague suffering folk of the town. You can also see where Harry potter was filmed in the quad, much kudos for small boys!

What an interesting place to visit and yet it is only one of over 30 Colleges that together comprise Oxford University
