Lovely woodland walks for the family. Dogs love it and so close to Sheffield. Should be more poo bins though. Not sure what the Woodland centre is trying to be though
Ecclesall woods is a great place for a dog walk. With a river and bridle way running through, it takes a few visits to not get completely lost. An old woods, with mature trees. A nice visitor centre in a log cabin style with plenty of instructional "woody" stuff going on, like coppicing; carving; woodsmanship etc.
Plenty of birds too if you take the time to walk, but this is a pleasant way to cross from Abbeydale to Ecceshall.

a long walk too the top pond. Take your time and look around the woodland. Makes me laugh too see people rushing too point b without looking left or right to enjoy.

If you love your pooch, take him here. Also good for the kids to run amuck, build dens and generally do all the sorts of things they probably wouldn't be allowed to do in their own back gardens
This is a lovely place for a walk as it is cool and shaded and there are loads of little paths to explore. When the spring flowers are out the daffs and bluebells are gorgeous. You can spend loads of time here and it is a lovely place to walk the dog.
this is a great place to just escape for the afternoon for a strol in the woods
