We visited Gypsy Wood yesterday in a group of 10 adults and 3 children. First of all it was very expensive at £6.99 per adult. It did state there was a discount for large groups on the price list but obviously our group wasn't large enough as there was no movement on price. The whole place consists of a small... More

Visited Gypsy Wood in mixed weather last week with 3 4yr old, 3 2 yr olds and 2 newborns. On arrival thought we might only get an hour there, but it's very deceptive and there's lots to do. In the end we stayed about 4 hours! All the kids and adults loved it. Spent lots of time looking at the... More

Our first impression on having paid for entry was - ahh - we'll be in and out in no more than an hour. How wrong we were! Our 2 and 4 year old boys absolutely loved this place despite the bitterly cold weather. The model trains kept them busy for an hour by themselves and although this is quite small... More

Visited last week with my other half and my two year old son having been staying nearby in Portmadog. I felt that it was expensive to get in and I was thankful that my son was only two as there is not much to do for anyone older. The model trains as you enter are the best bit, he did... More

Have just renewed our family season ticket here for another year. The owners have obviously been working hard over the winter updating the park with new ride on toys, picnic tables, fairies etc and their efforts really show. My 2 children aged 3 and 6 love it here. My 6 year old will spend ages looking at the model trains... More

I went with my mum, dad, my brother, and my sister. There was not a lot of attractions here but there was a small farm. You could feed goats and stroke rabbits. I got a painted tattoo (a snake) and my sister got 1 too (a spider).

We decided to visit when passing one summer's day. We have three boys 10, 8 and 18month at the time and all three were suitably entertained for a couple of hours. The park is dated with lots of wear and tear visible, particularly to the statues in the woods. The highlight for the boys was a zip wire which they... More

We had heard good things about Gypsy Wood, so took our 3 year old great niece for a special day out. We were pleasantly surprised. After passing the entrance, there was a lovely model railway and then a big outdoor play area. Geese & Waterfowl were on a pond plus various animals all through the park. We saw Pot bellied... More

Although this attraction is aimed at young children we found the price rather high at £6.95 per adult and toddlers, even under 2 years were £3:79. Nicely set out and lots of hidden surprises which really appealed to a 4 year old girl, but not much for our 19 month old. Lots of fairies, lovely animals and interesting walks, the... More
