An amazing castle and also a palace in one. It is surprising how big is place actually is. Located in the middle of the town centre, there is ample parking. Admission prices are cheap, considering how much there is to see.

We spent an hour and half here as we were limited for time. This is not enough time to spend at this castle. Climbing the towers and exploring the castle ruins is a wonderful experience. We will return and explore what we missed. So much history and so much information. I would recommend buying a guide or taking the tour...

We did the guided tour of the Castle and were not disappointed. You learn so much more from well informed guides and our guide showed a real passion for the local history especially the Castle history.
As we did not arrive till evening we only viewed the exterior of Caernarfon Castle. Interesting to see if you have never seen it before.
If you're visiting the UK there are probably a lot of castles on your list. This one was by far my favourite. It takes about two to three hours to see the whole thing. It is a massive castle and all of it is open to the public. Be prepared for lots of stairs and some breathtaking views when you...

One of Wales many beautiful castles. It was here that Prince Charles had his investiture on July 1, 1969. For a real value, purchase a three or seven day pass from Cadw. The pass can be purchased where you pay your admission. It allows you to see as many of their sites as you want (or can) during those days,...

We were first through the gates at 9.30am and were able to explore the castle pretty much on our own although it was getting busy by the time we left. There are lots of passages and towers to explore and some great views of Caernarfon. Don't miss the Welch Fusiliers Museum inside the castle - very informative and some good...

An impressive site; a massive structure. I have some fabulous pictures from the top of the huge towers. One can seen the walled city, as well, one can see Anglesey across the Menai Strait. There are challenges getting around with the maze of stairs, walkways, and dead ends; but it is worth seeing. The grounds are very tidy and a...

This was a very interesting castle to walk around. We parked beside it on the quay for £4, but that was for the day, so we could also look round Caernarfon afterwards. There are lots of dark passages, wall walks and turrets to explore. Beware though there are lots of narrow spiral stairs and sometimes there is not a different...
